Founder: Joey Christy

My name is Joey Christy. I’m a 19-year-old business and finance student at Ohio Wesleyan University, where I am also on the golf team. I’ve had an entrepreneurial mindset for as long as I can remember and have always been driven to build something of my own.

I started Caddie Wash to help pay for golf expenses like equipment, tee times, tournaments, but it quickly grew into something much bigger. I decided to name the business Caddie Wash beacuse of my golfing background. In golf, players have caddies who help carry their bags, give them helpful insights, and keep them mentally focused. I wanted to bring that same idea of “being a helpful caddie” to the service industry. To go along with this brand, I decided to have a uniform that directly matches with a golf caddie: Khaki pants, white polo, custom bib, and a nice hat.

What began as a simple business has turned into a company I’m truly proud of. I enjoy leading Caddie Wash because my team and I are able to deliver professional, high-quality services to our clients while I continue learning firsthand what it takes to build and grow a business the right way.

2025:

The Start

I loved the idea of developing something from the ground up. Caddie Wash began as a simple Idea in 2025. I had done pressure washing in the past for my grandparents, but only now did I think, “maybe I could make a business out of this”. Pressure washing wasn't anything new, so I knew I needed to build a brand that would separate me from my competitors. I came up with the name of Caddie Wash since I began this business to help myself pay for golf expenses and built my brand around that “Caddie” theme. I started doing tons of research on how to pressure wash correctly. What equipment I needed, the size of hose, post treating to not leave lines, etc. I quickly realized that there was a lot more to pressure washing then I had once thought, but I was ready for the challenge.

I started out with some basic equipment that my grandpa had and tested out my skills on my own house, but also theirs. I got my first few before and after photos so I could then go out and advertise. I built a website, filed an llc, got insurance, I was actually running a real business now! Before I knew it I had my first few customers and I quickly realised that I needed to get better equipment if I wanted to grow this. I spent all my savings to buy commercial grade equipment and I also introduced window cleaning to cater to a larger audience. This paid off as we ended up gaining a solid client base my first year in business and really was able to take on any job we wanted now because of our upgraded equipment and the knowledge I had gained. I also began to hire a few of my friends to help me take on even more jobs. The first year wasn’t perfect. I had to learn how to troubleshoot equipment, manage bigger jobs, and solve unexpected challenges, but those lessons built a solid foundation for the business. Now with the right equipment and the knowledge I have gained, I am confident in Caddie Wash being able to do a professional level job at any property we are servicing.
